Beat the bloat on vacation

Have you ever dieted for weeks to prep for vacation, only to arrive at you destination and BLOW UP?

What a disappointment and mood killer!!

But have no fear, there is a way to beat the bloat and save the vacation vibes.

Use these 4 tips to keep your tummy flat all week long.

  • Hydrate. With water! Soda, alcohol and seltzer water do not count! Even juice does not count!! Drink at least 64oz of water a day. I love to take my Iron Flask with me everywhere I go, it helps me to stay hydrated and reduces my plastic waste.
  • Feed your gut. Give your gut good, probiotic and prebiotic rich foods. Fill up on veggies at each meal and sip kombucha tea. I love this kombucha tea. You can find it almost anywhere. It makes a good beverage to sip on in the car, with dinner, and in the evenings (substitute for alcohol).
  • Eat your fats. Trust me on this. Good, healthy fats can be anti-inflammatory and soothing to your gut, reducing the appearance of puff and bloat. Snack on walnuts and almonds, add avocado to your salad, and load up on omega-rich fish like salmon.
  • Lastly, don’t overeat. Eat meals slowly, give your body time to register that it’s full. Chew your food a lot! And practice intermediate fasting to give your body time to digest and heal.

Don’t forget to take a good probiotic supplement with you on vacation. Probiotics will reduce bloat and keep you regular!
