How to stick with a diet on vacation

Don’t let vacation ruin your health and nutrition

In the past, I would strictly diet for weeks or months prior to a vacation, only to binge on a whole lot of junk while I was away and ruin all the hard work I’d put in.

I’d go on vacation and get bloated, puffy, sluggish and dehydrated. Not exactly how you want to feel while you’re supposed to be relaxing in the beach.

So I implemented some simple changes to keep my nutrition on point even while I was on vacation.

Take your water bottle. Use the link below to get the exact one I use. I’ve had it for several years now, and it has been my hydration solution! It’s perfect for vacation. It saves plastic, it’s leak-proof (so it carries well), and it’s enough water to keep you hydrated all day! Fill it up and sip on it throughout the day, it’s that simple.

Take a good probiotic. I tried acidophilus on this last vacation, and it worked well for the price! Definitely a good investment if you don’t want to break the bank on a probiotic just for vacation. I took one at night before bed and one in the morning as soon as I woke up. It really seemed to keep the bloat away.

Supplement probiotics with kombucha. If you’re going to drink something other than water, drink kombucha. It’s a fermented drink that naturally has probiotics in it. It aids even further in good digestion.

Eat a salad at every meal. Even if you order a fish dinner, have a side salad with it. Make sure you’re still getting tons of fruits and vegetables!

Walk. Take long strolls after dinner, and walk to close locations. Keep your metabolism going and burn off calories!
