10 Things to be Thankful For

Practicing gratitude will change your mind and attitude. Do you remember Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh? I bet we all know one person in our lives who walks around with that same little thunder cloud. I certainly hope you’re not that person!

Practicing daily gratitude will keep that personal storm cloud away, and you’ll start to see all the other many things you have to be grateful for!

Be grateful for the life you’re striving for. I know you haven’t gotten there yet, but start giving thanks for it now. It becomes more real to you if you start to be thankful for it before you even get it.

Be grateful for your healthy body. Even if you haven’t reached your fitness goals, or still struggle with diet. Even if you really aren’t thankful for your body! Get in the habit of saying thanks and appreciating your healthy body as it is.

Be grateful for the people that cheer you on. Going through change alone can be tough. If you have those who support you and encourage you, hold them close and appreciate all that they do for you.

Be grateful for what you have. Walk through your home, office, neighborhood… Say thanks over all that you have and are surrounded by.

Be grateful for your success. Tell yourself “thank you” for all the hard work you’ve put in to make the life you live. Don’t take yourself for granted. You aren’t crazy if you lookat in the mirror and thank yourself for a job well done.

Start a gratitude journal and aim to reach 1,000 things you are thankful for this year.
