Here are some practical and stylish items to include while setting up your desk, office or lady lair.

Plants add a sense of life and vitality to a space. They offer beauty and can be beneficial to your air quality. As you water and tend to your plant companion, you gain a sense of accomplishment. ‘Cause hey, it ain’t easy keeping plants alive.

If you’re like me, you may want to invest in a low maintenance air plant to liven up your space. They are decorative and require almost no care at all!

If you’re even worse than me at keeping a plant alive, just opt for a fake, decorative plant. It’s still pretty!

If you’ve been following me on Pinterest or my blog you probably know by now that I love the Day Designer planner.

I am SUPER picky when it comes to planners. I have a bunch of things that I want to cram into a day: Morning routines, health and fitness goals, career, relationships, personal development, self care, continuing education, and evening routines.

I struggled for years trying to find a planner that would suit my basic needs until I could finish the design and development on my own planner.

Finally, at long last, I stumbled upon Day Designer.

You can purchase the 2022 planner here, or download the pdf versions online at their website.

Surround yourself with beautiful and inspirational things.

I like motivational quotes and reminders in my workspace. Sometimes at work I’ll hit a roadblock and start to get down on myself, then I catch site of my wall art and remember, “you are a badass girl boss!”

Have your inspirational playlist rolling in the background. I have a variety! Most days a work to the upbeat tunes of country gospel (what can I say, I was raised Southern Baptist 🤷🏼‍♀️). Some days I need my hard rock to push me through some difficult or boring projects.

Play soft, earthy music during meetings or consults. It lightens the atmosphere of the room and puts everyone at ease!
